In the fields, Juli 2013

Two days ago I passed a really nice field with rye (I guess) during a bike trip. Of course I didn’t have my camera with me, so I returned yesterday, with a bag full of equipment.

Most pictures were shot with the 40 year old Minolta Rokkor 58mm f1.2, mounted on my NEX 7. Certainly in this setting that created a specific look. To make the cereal even more gold, I gave the pictures the look of a Polaroid 690 in DxO. The poppies got a ‘Kodak Portra 160 NC’ look which gives a nice saturated red. And in some of them I desaturated the yellow slightly, giving the pictures a really distinct look. :-)

PS: do you know the difference between wheat, oat and rye?
