Today it was ‘open monuments day’ in Flanders, a day where momuments which are usually closed to the general public are open. I went to a large building in the South of Antwerp, the ‘Zuiderpershuis’. It is quite famous, but there are also a parts of the building that are unknown to many people. In one of them, there is a forge, which is used by the Royal Academy of Arts for their courses ‘hammersmith’.
