Whiteface Mountain, October 2014

Just like last year, I’ve extended a business trip to Rochester (NY, US) with a few days in the neighbourhood of Whiteface Mountain (Adirondacks, High Peaks area). This year I did it before the conference, which turned out to be a good choice: the turning of the leaves just peaked. One week later, everything would have looked very different.

The colors were beautiful! A friend who lives in that part of the US told me that they were exceptional, due to the very favorable weather earlier this year. The colors were really unbelievable. To capture everything as good as possible, I’ve used a polarisation filter in many occasions. And I’ve also postprocessed the images, so that they are comparable to the images in my memory. 🙂
