The lion, the lioness, they are beautiful animals. But not always as easy as a photo model. I remember the story in the newspaper, a few years ago, by the photographer of the Zoo of Antwerp. For some occasion they wanted a photo of the pair. The photographer had been waiting for a few days with his camera ready for the ideal moment that just didn’t come… Various attempts were made to get them together, e.g. with food, but without success. Until the very last moment, when the photographer had almost packed his stuff, they suddenly appeared together.
Last Sunday I had a lot more luck: after they first posed separately, they suddenly sought each other’s company in a perfect, even slightly tender pose…
